No more split diaphragms or boost leaks from the clip on oil filter housing tops failing. The AIRTEC Motorsport breather kit allows you to take on fast road and track days without the worry of the Ford unit failing.
The AIRTEC Motorsport two-piece breather kit (part no: ATMSFO16) is designed to address the limitations of the standard Ford oil filter housing on tuned Focus RS & ST models. The fragile diaphragm inside these housings often splits or leaks due to the clip-on design. With the upgraded breather system, you can enjoy improved performance and reliability.
The AIRTEC Motorsport two-piece breather kit includes:
- 1 x Modified & Baffled Ford oil filter housing, including new oil filter element and oil seals for easy installation
- 1 x AIRTEC Motorsport oil separator with billet mounting block and laser-cut fitting washer, which also serves as a template for drilling to attach the separator to the battery tray
- Pro Hoses oil-resistant fluoro silicone lined hoses, custom-made to fit your engine bay, providing superior fitting compared to straight hoses. Complete with full stainless steel jubilee clips. Minor trimming of hoses may be required.
Exchange: We require your old oil filter housing before sending the two-piece breather kit. Once purchased, a kit will be allocated for you. After we receive your old Ford oil filter housing, we will send you the new two-piece breather kit.
Outright: You will receive the full kit. If you wish to return your old oil filter housing, we will refund you the surcharge. This option is ideal for international customers who cannot send their old unit back or customers who prefer to fit the new kit first and return the old housing after installation.
Please note: Our kit is designed to allow the engine to breathe better by venting fumes to the atmosphere. The engineâs original breather system recirculates the fumes back into the engineâs intake to consume them. Increasing the engineâs breathing capacity may reveal previously unforeseen issues that indicate engine wear or general ill health, which were previously masked by the original breather systemâs limitations.
We have sold hundreds of these kits over the years. However, as these cars age, it is important to ensure they are in excellent health and running order. Occasionally, customers may experience a noticeable increase in fumes and/or smoke after fitting a breather kit.
